Since becoming a mum I’ve been trying to put together casual everyday outfits that are comfortable, but not boring. And recently, I have been wearing these 5 everyday outfits on repeat.
So what I’ve discovered when creating these go-to outfits, is that it’s been as simple as creating my usual everyday comfortable outfits and then adding 1-2 simple elements of style to ever-so-slightly elevate the look. You’ll see exactly what I mean below. So, here are 5 everyday comfortable outfits that I’ve been wearing on repeat recently.

5 Casual Everyday Outfits
Outfit 1
This first outfit I have been wearing on repeat for the past few weeks. I’ve started with knit shorts (because they are the epitome of comfort) and I’ve added a ribbed singlet. Ontop is my linen shirt, which protects me from the harsh aussie sun, but also balances the outfit too. I’ve tied my hair in a low bun using my scrunchie so that I can add my Akubra hat.
For me, the hat is that one piece that takes this outfit from plain to a little more fun. And I’ve been wearing this out on walks to the park with my bubba. It keeps me cool, but also protects me from the sun.
Outfit 2
This next dress is by far my most worn piece over the past 3 months. Ever since I got it, I can’t stop reaching for it! I’ve styled it below for both summer and winter.
The thing I love about dresses is that they are their own outfit. Often they speak for themselves and you don’t have to do much else than just throw it on. I wear this Daughters of India dress all the time with my Birkenstocks, and I get compliments on it often. On cooler days I have also worn this styled with my black chunky ankle boots and faux sherling jacket.
Outfit 3
This next outfit I discovered when I really just wanted to wear my activewear but I was trying very hard not to!
I started with my black bike shorts (something I usually wear to yoga). And I added my black singlet. I had seen a lot of people on Pinterest style bike shorts with an oversized shirt and I really loved that look, so I’ve been eagerly searching charity shops for the perfect shirt. I found this one that I love, in the mens section! I have been wearing it on top of SO many outfits. I love wearing an oversized shirt open and undone as a light layer in the warmer months. The shirt and pendant are for me, my two pieces that elevate this outfit from basic to cool.
Outfit 4
This next outfit is French inspired and I’ve only worn it a couple of times when I’ve been in the right mood! I love the way these pointed ballet flats elongate my legs. I’ve spoken about these shoes before and they definitely tick the comfort box.
I also love how a long sleeve blouse look when paired with shorts. Rather than having a t-shirt or vest, a pretty blouse is just a small adjustment to elevate a basic outfit.
Outfit 5
This outfit screams casual and comfortable and I’ve been wearing it a lot! I’ve been wearing it with chunky tennis shoes and ribbed socks to elevate it slightly, and to give it a cool edge.
I also paid attention to the neckline of the t-shirt, so that I could show the white of the t-shirt up the top and bottom of the jumper. I’ve also rolled up my jumper sleeves. For me this outfit needs to be styled a little messy to really achieve the casual and relaxed finished look that I’m after.
