Today I went to the playground with my son. It was one beautiful morning! A perfect 20 degrees with the sun shining. It feels like we are coming out of winter now in Sydney, and the weather has been teasing us this week.
I’ve been trying to make more of an effort with my playground outfits (as opposed to wearing my active wear). The playground is an activity I do a lot, so I don’t want to feel as though I am wasting my days not wearing the clothes I love.
Sometimes, as a mum, it can be hard to get yourself into a proper outfit, so if you’re there, I hear you, I see you. Respect where you are right now, and if you can’t muster up the energy to get dressed properly some days, don’t worry. We need to respect the season of life we are in and not put too much pressure on ourselves as parents to have everything in order.
Some days I get dressed in a nice outfit, other days, I don’t. It’s balance.
On this particular day, we went to the playground and then walked to a cafe for a cappuccino and a babychino! Coffee dates with my 2-year-old are a regular occurrence these days, and even though the tantrums are also a regular occurrence, I am still very much enjoying this hilarious age. I’m Wearing:
The Way High Jeans from Everlane with a 29.5-inch inseam (I am 5’9), in colour mid-indigo. These jeans are an absolute favourite of mine, they are an incredible fit, and so comfortable. (I intend to get them in another colour soon!)
My t-shirt is also from Everlane. I’m wearing a size small.
My jumper is second-hand.
And my shoes are from Barred Footwear. These have arch support and are so comfortable for my sore feet.
My brown bucket bag is Matt & Nat. My diamond necklace is lab-grown from Monica Vinader (discount code: EMILYE20)
